New tank

Got the new and slimmer tank painted. Looks nice there. Have to make some brackets to frisco mount it. And maybe relocate the coil. And Martin is holding a human skull. Sick.

Got these for the trip this summer. They must be from the 40's or something. In desperate need of some TLC, but the patina will be kept.

Bike is running again

Thanks to a new ignition module and an extra hand from Espen, I got the bike running again!

Waiting...

Fixed the carb and lots of other small issues, but the bike still runs like shit. I have narrowed it down to the ignition. Waiting for a new Ultima module, hope that will get the bike running again.

In the mean time, some inspirational pictures of guys surfing bikes and popping wheelies!

Carb

Cleaned and rebuilt the carb, mounted it and wanted to test it. Just had to tighten that fuel hose clamp a little more... Now I have to wait for a new fitting (not plastic this time) and make a special tool to fix it.

Bike is on the road and I have done some small adjustments. Runs great! Still some work to do on the electrics and cosmetics.

Ordered a new tire ( Shinko Classic), as the Avon has a bit too high profile for two-up riding. I am also looking for a new tank and some brass parts...

Tail light and license plate bracket

Fitted a Bates taillight and made a license plate bracket. Minimal clearance from fender to wheel. Looks nice, but I think preload has to be set relatively stiff if I don't want the tire to rub.

Shaving the ugly levers

I think it looks a lot better than the bulky stock levers. A lot of work with grinder, dremel and flap discs. Still not finished. Also narrowed down the handlebars 5 cm on each side.

Seat mount

Made a bracket for the seat. The spring bolts are covered in rubber caps and just resting on the frame. Yes, they are usually seen on chair legs...

Work in progress

Got the new Biltwell handlebars and seat in place. Starting to look good, I think. Can't wait for the snow to disappear.

Bags

Made a couple of tool/accessory bags out of some denim jacket sleeves, old shoelaces and some brass skulls. Also found an old bicycle bag in a second hand shop that might do the job as a cool side mounted luggage bag.

Vintage helmet

Got this off eBay: A vintage red metal flake helmet. With Lucifer horns! I will match it with a Biltwell bubble shield and maybe some pinstripes.
